This will be a short answer as I am currently under the weather and Max the Cat is unavailable 😪 Hopefully, people would say that I try very hard, despite all the physical and mental limitations that I am currently battling… perhaps they would say that I am like the energizer bunny… No matter how difficult things get I just try to keep going and going and going to the best of my ability!

Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?
My favorite place 😍 in the entire world is Casey Jones Village in Jackson, TN My mother 👨🍼 and I used to visit all the time ⏲️ It holds very special memories for me. It has the homey and comforting atmosphere of an old county store. 😀
Gift shop
They sell all kinds af things, old fashioned candies, dolls, lamps, soaps, sodas, they even have an old fashioned ice cream parlor!.There are also many photos from by-gone days which line the walls 🧱 You feel as though you have stepped into a time warp back to the early 1900s 😀
They also have a buffet of the best Southern food that you have ever tasted 😋

There are southern staples such as macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes 🥔 covered with butter 🧈 green beans, Johnny cakes, fried chicken 🍗 🐔 and fried catfish 😋 👌
The people are so nice and you always come away full of delicious foods, and perhaps with a wonderful new treasure, 😋
Since my mother has passed and I am limited in my travel it is possible I may never be able to visit again 🙄 but it will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️
It is about 70 miles from Memphis Tennessee (where I grew up) if you get a chance I highly recommend it..

Hi 👋 everyone this is Max the cat 🐈 my human is a little under the weather so I thought I would write ✍️ a short daily prompt for today 😀
In the last few years, our tradition has been a turkey TV dinner 😀 In my kitty opinion they are actually pretty good 👍 😄 it’s one of the only times during the year that I get turkey 😀 because every other time of the year my human says I am not allowed to have it!
Anyways there are always mashed potatoes 🥔 with gravy 😋 as well as cranberry sauce depending on which dinners my human gets 😋 Sometimes she buys all three in separate containers 😀
And then there is always dessert 🍨 and I usually get some 😀 I love pie 🥧 it’s one of my favorites besides sugar free cookies 🍪
I like apple 🍎 pie crust! Yummy 😋 and vanilla ice cream 🍦

Max says…Sadly, reading had become to difficult for my human in her current condition 😢 because it aggravates her facial pain 😢 😭 However, if she could read 📚 I think she would enjoy Steven King 🤴 (as she likes horror movies) However, as a cat I don’t particularly like them myself.
I am more into books about fish and birds 🐦 😀😀😀 especially tuna! books about tuna are my favorite 😍 😋
My human doesnt particularly have any favorite authors, she tends to just read about subjects that interest her, fiction or non-fiction. 😀 Perhaps, history, stories about family, mystery, relationships.. etc..

Oh yes, I do remember one book that she read about cats 🐈 like me, it was called Making the rounds with Oscar. it was kind of sad… but a good read 📚 👌 and I also remember one author she liked his name was Wally Lamb i believe… and a book called She’s come undone..

Hmm……well I don’t particularly have a routine. I sleep 😴 when I am able and eat when I am able…..etc…
So perhaps 🤔 I should say I tend to put off things such as light housekeeping (if that counts) 🤔
The usual things such as washing the dishes or taking out the trash 🗑
Actually though, the more I think about it, I usually should clean Max the cats 🐈 litter box 📦 by the time he howls for food in the morning 🌄 but a lot of times I wait and do it a little later!
Name the most expensive personal item you’ve ever purchased (not your home or car).
I would imagine that I’ve spent a massive amount of money on my teeth for crowns and cavities etc..unfortunately 😬 which possibly could all be undone due to my inability to keep good dental hygiene due to chronic pain..
In the past, I also spent quite a lot on some tattoos. Before my chronic pain hit my ex-boyfriend and I went down to Los Angeles so that I could get a memorial tattoo for my mother 👩 In the image of a ceramic angel that I gifted her.
Earlier, in my 20s I got several Kanji tattoos on my legs and ankles. Kanji are Japanese lettering. I have a very large one here on my leg.. Unfortunately the message is not a very positive one. . It reads Empty Soul… The one on the ankle is more positive and reads courage..😃
If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?
Hmm, let me think 🤔 stop saying a word that I use regularly. I would really enjoy giving up the phrase “I’m fine”
I use this phrase quite frequently when speaking 🔊 with others, even if the phrase is not true at that particular time.
I tend to be a person who tells folks what they want to hear rather than the actual truth. Unfortunately, it just seems a little easier to do things that way. 😕
Just out of curiosity, does anyone else do this sometimes?
My ideal home 🏡 would definitely be a little cabin in the woods, surrounded by trees 🌳 with a freshwater stream flowing nearby. and a small screened in front porch with a swing and some comfortable chairs 💺 so I could sit outside and watch the sun rise with my morning coffee ☕️
The cabin would also have a fireplace, so it would be extra cozy in the fall and the winter.🥰
I would only need a few rooms 😀 just a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitchen. However, even though it would be simple and rustic, I would still like to have modern conveniences 😀
On the windows 🪟 would be flower 🌼 boxes full of flowers of all kinds 😀 and outside, I would have a rose 🌹 garden as well as a small space for growing vegetables like tomatoes 🍅 and carrots 🥕
I like to blog 😊 because I hope to make a few folks aware of the issue of having chronic pain. Hopefully, I might be able to help someone as well 😀 and perhaps make a friend 😀
My favorite 😍 time of the day or “night” is in the wee hours of the morning 🌄 when I am unable to sleep 😴 Sometimes, I am able to hear the distant sound of a low mournful train whistle in the distance if I listen 🎶 hard enough.
Max (the cat) cuddled up in his fluffy rainbow 🌈 bed, snoring softly beside me. The glow of the TV flickering in the background ✨️ A light rain shower 🚿 tapping outside the window 🪟 A gentle breeze blowing through the palm trees 🌴 🌳 It is quite peaceful 😀 and gives me a feeling of warmth and security 😀
My answer isn’t very interesting or imaginative, but in my alternate universe, my health would be completely restored, The entire new universe would be covered with flowers, gardens butterflies, and trees 🌳 always beautiful, peaceful and calming 😊
Here, there is only one human who is surrounded and all kinds of talking animals 😀 and we would spend our days running, playing, laughing, and cuddling together ❤️
If you could host a dinner and anyone you invite was sure to come, who would you invite?
Well, let me think for a minute 🤔 I have never been to a dinner party or hosted a dinner party, so I would probably need a little help from Julia Child!
After I watched some of her shows and decided what to fix,
I would ask my parents because I have not seen them in 30 years! (since they both passed away)
Next, I would invite my friend Alex from St. Petersburg, Russia 🇷🇺 because she has been my pen pal for years, and I would love ❤️ to see her in person 😀
Next, I would invite the entire cast of M*A*S*H because it is my favorite 😍 classic TV show 😀
Finally, I would invite Jesus 😀 oh and Julia Child can come too 😀
In the summer of 1994, when I was seventeen, my mom and I took a road trip down to historic Covington, Georgia My mom and I were both excited 😊 and we got along well back then.
We had a wonderful time taking lots of little side trips and stopping at all the tourist attractions. There were so many new and interesting things to see.
Such as The Lost Sea 🌊 Fall Creek Falls State Park, The Chattanooga incline railway 🛤 and Ruby Falls ( a awe-inspiring underground cave)
Once we arrived, we drove around a while taking photos 📸 When we made a stop at one of Newton Counties’ several colleges, we got quite a surprise 😮

We saw lights and trailers and cameras 📷 😀 I told my mom that I suddenly remembered that the show in the heat of the night 🌙 was filmed here. (Starring Carroll O Conner of All in the Family fame) I believe In the Heat of the Night ran from 1988- 1995.
I had always had some interest in how television shows were made 😀 So we both got out of the car and sat down to watch for a while 😀 Lucky for us we also saw three of the shows stars getting ready for a scene. 😀 including the great Carroll O Conner himself 😀 it was an incredibly exciting day 😀
Even though that summer trip was almost 30 years ago, I’ll never forget it, it is one of my very favorite memories ♥️ Definitely besides all the fun 😁 I loved being able to spend quality time with my mom 👩
My favorite seasons are late spring and early summer.
Since Florida🌴 doesn’t have any seasons. I am taken back to when I was a little girl in Memphis during April, May, and June before it got too hot to enjoy the days and evenings.
Walking around with no shoes.Feeling the cool grass as you wiggle your toes.🌿
Butterflies were fluttering through the fresh air. 🦋The magical days and nights for a child when it began to get dark later and later, and the fireflies would start to come out, lighting up the night sky🌄
The BBQs are on the patio on the weekends.🥩
I would play on my jungle gym as dad got the meat ready to grill.🥩 The delicious smell was wafting through the air. The cicadas are buzzing in the trees.🪰
Running through the sprinklers at dusk, Mom came outside with a warm towel. Knowing that I had at least an hour left to play because there was no school, at the end of the night, watching the sun slowly dip below the trees with the soft colors of orange, yellow, and red.🌄
As well as the warm summer thunderstorms that would pop up, sometimes lulling me to sleep when I went to bed⛈️. Such wonderful memories of this magical time of year.
